- Kids grow and change so quickly, especially tiny tots. I often forget many of the things they do. If I do remember, I often forget who did it. Oh, how I wish I could remember every little moment with my little loves! Anyhow, I want to really try to keep track of who did what when. I may even write things that happened a few years back if I they come to mind. I hope they will, anyway. Today...a post for Zeb.Age: 12 months 21 days
- Zeb REALLY likes ice cream and frozen yogurt.
- When he lies his head on my shoulder and I pat his back, he pats my back with one of his cute little chunky hands! I love when babies do that! Sweet boy!
- Zeb likes to be laid down to sleep, and is usually asleep within a minute or two. Yay!
- When he is put down for his morning nap as soon as he starts to get tired, he sleeps really well for a really long time. If we are gone somewhere past naptime, when I finally do lay him down, he doesn't sleep long at all. Silas was also like that as a baby, and he slept better at night when he had good naps that day.
- In the past few weeks, he has started throwing the little "feet stompin'" tantrums when he doesn't get his way.
- When Zeb comes inside here at home or anyone else's house, he almost always closes the door behind him. I'm not sure why this gets to me so much. I guess it just seems so "big boyish".
- He likes to dance. I never tire of watching my babies dance.
- Little brother likes to copy his brothers and sister. If they run and jump in a pile of cushions, so does he. The same goes for swinging their legs while sitting in a chair, needing a drink, choosing a book, spinning around, etc.
- About a week ago, Matt firmly told one of the kids to "Stop!". Zeb, wanting to get in on the action also yelled, "Stop!", while pointing a finger and giving a scowl. Matt had to say, "You stay out of it and only worry about Zeb." to our 12 month old! Crazy kid!
- Even though Zeb has tubes, he still frequently gets ear infections. Boo! I was hoping he wouldn't be a member of that club.
- When I'm sweeping, little man attacks my dirt pile and spreads it everywhere.
- Bliss calls him "Zebby", and as much as I think it takes the "toughness" away from his name, the whole household has found ourselves calling him that. (sigh) It's catchy. I like Zeb, Z, and Z.Q. much better.
- Zeb has been pulling on his clothes a lot lately and whining wanting them off. After we undress his down to his diaper, he's perfectly happy.
- In the past week or so, Zeb's 7th tooth popped through.
- As an infant, Zeb rarely wore shoes. As he got older, we didn't put them on him either. One reason was because it was summertime. Also, he'd started pulling up, standing on his own, and walking, and we didn't want the shoes to hinder him. Well, about a month or so ago I knew fall was approaching and Z needed to get used to shoes, so I slipped some on him. He "marched" a few steps, then sat down and tried to take them off. Then he cried, and screamed, and kicked, and crawled. Then he just sat and refused to move. It took a "few" tries and a month or so, but I am happy to report that Zeb wore shoes to church this past Sunday without protest. Yay!
- When he gets upset, he grabs hold of my hair, skin, jewelry, or whatever else he can and pulls. OUCH! I am putting much effort into nipping this in the bud. It has to stop soon!
- Zebby has the sweetest little kisses. One morning when Zeb woke up, I brought him into bed with me hoping that he would fall back to sleep (Ha! Ha!). I felt a sweet little kiss on my lips and opened my eyes to see my baby boy looking me right in the eyes and just a grinnin'! Oh, the things he does to my heart!
- His smile with his little gap between his two front teeth melts my heart.
- He puts everything in his mouth!
Here's my most recent picture of Zeb. It is from a little less than two weeks ago. Yes, that is mud around his mouth. I think he could easily become a fan of mud pies. Ha!
